Updated Synopsis

Today has turned out to be a very productive day.  I woke up bright and early, knocking out almost 3,000 words after only three hours.  I hope I can knock out another 3,000 tonight, but for now I need a break, and breakfast.

I have also updated my synopsis, but it's definitely not set in stone as of yet, I am not sure if I like it.  I also plan on watching more training videos on the Photoshop program.  My hope is that I will learn enough, that I can create my own cover.  If not for this novel, then definitely for the vampire book I plan to write next.

There is also a writing workshop I want to attend today, however it is about an hour away and if it is going to interfere with my writing I might skip it, until the next one.

Well, that's my update for today, I hope everyone else is doing well.

  1. Good accomplishment for the day. I'm trying to get a lot in too. I had planned to reach 25,000 words today. I'm currently at 21,623. Hope I won't have to work too late.

  4. What a great days work. I am not an expert on the synopsis and it's actually the part I dread most. Hope you don't have as much trouble with yours. Good luck with your writing this evening.

  5. 3k, that's amazing! I can't do it in huge bursts like that, or I get really burnt out. I try for a steady 1k a day and "turtle pace" myself. If I play the hare, I fall asleep and forget about what I was writing :(

Some days I do 3k, don't get me wrong, but that's about my limit. Short attention span, I guess ;)

  6. Wow Megan! You are doing awesome! Were you able to get that word counter to work yet?

  7. Thanks, I was only ably to write a few hundred the second time around, but that is still better than nothing I say. I agree with you JL, the synopsis is something I dread, that and the cover I think are very important pieces. I haven't been able to get the word counter going yet Melissa. I really really want it to though. :)

  8. I think I've written 3,000 words in a single day only once or twice. I'm happy if I can get 1,000 words down.

If I could be half as productive as you, I would dance a jig (well, first I would have to take dance lessons, then dance a jig).

  9. Ha ha, I was lucky as well. I am usually about 1,000 as well, but about once a week I get on a roll and am able to get a nice chunk written. I wish it was like that every day though.
