March Results!

It has been a crazy journey getting through the first publication.  Now that it is all said and done I feel like I can breathe a little bit easier, and going forward, hopefully, when publishing Savor I will be more aware of what to expect.  There were many twists and turns, and even moments where I wondered if I was crazy, but with the help of my family and fellow indies I was able to push through.

I didn't quite know what I was expecting for sales on my first book.  I was just shy of my goal, but all and all I think I did pretty well.  I know perhaps once I get more books published and have more sales to compare I can really determine what kinds of numbers are good.  I sold copies to more than just my mom so that counts right? :o)

I know I have probably been saying it a lot, but I wanted to thank everyone for their support, whether it be reading Released, blogging about it, tweeting about it, posting reviews or just being there for me.  I couldn't have done it without you and I am truly and deeply grateful.

So, here are my numbers for March.  Keep in mind that Released was published on March 21, so that only gave me 10 days in March for sales.

Amazon            26 ebooks sold
Amazon UK       6 ebooks sold
B&N                 12 ebooks sold

This brought me to a grand total of 44 total ebooks sold in 10 days!

I got to say I am really happy about these numbers and they are much better than I could have ever dreamed, not to mention the wonderful reviews I have read.  Some really amazing readers have posted their reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, Amazon UK and B&N.  I love reading these reviews and they just make me smile from ear to ear whenever I read them, which is pretty darn often I have to admit.

I have also done two author interviews and one book spotlight that I am very excited about and hope that you all enjoy.  Just today I announced the winner for the giveaway that was being conducted on another blog.  I think the giveaways and interview are really fun to do and look forward to getting the opportunity to do more of them.

Now that the whirlwind has died down I am unsure of what to expect in the coming months, but I am going to try my hardest to not pay too much attention to the sales of Released from here on out.  I want to put all my energy and focus toward finishing writing Savor.

So, before I sign off I want to thank you all again, and ask that you wish me luck as I start this roller coaster ride of publication all over again.  :o)

  6. Those are excellent numbers, especially since many e-authors claim that March is one of the slowest months for sales.

    Continued Success!

  7. Excited to have found another YA Indie author! You were rec. to me by Megg Jenson, and I can't wait to pick up released and add it to my TBR pile.

44 books is an awesome start! If you hop over to my blog, you can see that I started with about 39 for my first month, and just a few months later, I'm already selling thousands a month. I have no doubt you'll be there soon! Hope to keep in touch through Twitter and blogs and cheer each other on throughout the process.
