Reviewing & Zombie Talk

Hello, hello! It's Sunday, my favorite day of the week!

First I'd like to jump totally off topic and begin my post with something that has nothing to do with reviewing. Tonight is Walking Dead! I won't post any spoilers for those of you who didn't see last weeks episode, and for those crazy people who don't watch. But after last weeks' EPIC, MIND BLOWING, TEAR JERKING episode, I am chomping on the bit to know what happens next.

P.S. AMC give me more Michonne!

Okay, now that I've gotten my Walking Dead rant over with I'd like to let everyone know that I am starting another blog strictly for reviews. I've gotten a lot of requests and I think it would be tons of fun to start reviewing on the side. I enjoy reading as much as I do writing and I can't wait to get started!

You can check out my new blog here
It's not much right now as I am just starting the building process, but hopefully it will grow and become a great place for other bloggers, readers and writers to meet and talk all things books.

Hidden

The House of Night series is an international phenomenon, reaching #1 on U.S., German, and UK bestseller lists, and remaining a fixture on the New York Times Children’s Series bestseller list for more than 140 weeks and counting. With nearly 12 million copies in print, rights sold in thirty-eight countries to date, and relatable, addictive characters, this series is unstoppable. Now in Hidden, the tenth installment of the series, the stakes are higher than ever before.

Neferet’s true nature has been revealed to the Vampyre High Council, so Zoey and the gang might finally get some help in defending themselves and their beloved school against a gathering evil that grows stronger every day. And they’ll need it, because Neferet’s not going down without a fight. Chaos reigns at the House of Night.

I just finished reading this book, and as with the rest of them, I really liked it. I'm so glad the series is continuing on, there are just so many questions that still need to be answered! Like whose side is Kalona really on, is Health ever coming back, which of the fledglings are gong to switch sides, and will Neferet EVER DIE!?

I know a lot of people hate these books, but they are terribly wonderful. I've read the rest of P.C.'s books and I enjoy her writing. I actually wish she wrote this series herself as I can tell the difference where her daughter steps in and I think I like P.C's writing much, much better. But nevertheless, this is one of my favorite series at the moment and I always get giddy when I see that the next book is out.

Cover Reveal!

And here it is, the cover for my brand new paranormal love story, Falling From Eternity! Please excuse me whilst I skip around my office and do a little happy dance! I had been struggling with this cover for weeks, not knowing how I wanted it to look, but the marvelous Najla Qamber saved me. She was able to piece together my confusing ideas, and create this masterpiece. I'd also like to thank Marcus J. Ranum for some great stock that helped create this wonderful cover!

Now I know everyone is probably wondering when this book is coming out...okay, I'm hoping you're all wondering when this book is coming out, but I don't have an official date yet but it will be soon. Very soon. I do, however, have a small snip-it from the book to share with you. Hopefully it will satisfy your cravings for now.

“I looked around the cemetery at the dead trees, and lonely tombstones; at the long deceased flowers and desolate landscape, and realized that maybe there really wasn’t anything more than this.

You live and then you die. My immortality wasn’t some gift to make a difference in the world, or to give me time to find purpose in life, but simply a curse. A curse to wander around in a stagnant void.

I could be nothing more than what I was, a creature of nightmare. My existence had no meaning, no point. I lived only to feed, to gorge myself on blood and satisfy my every desire no matter how dark or cruel.

That was what I was, and trying to change that was… useless.”
